Halloween at the crafty kids club!

Come to our crafty kids club this Saturday and make Halloween lanterns! The club will last from 10.30am-noon and will cost £5 per child. This will include all materials and refreshments so your child will be sure to have great amounts of fun!

This Saturday at the crafty kids club!

Hello crafty people! This week at the crafty kids club we will be making scarecrows ready for the Autumn season ahead. This little guy is super fun to make and to make it easier for your children, we will have little ready made packs for their scarecrows.

Halloween at the Dunstan

Everyone is welcome! Please come and support the first fund raising event in Charley's memory with his family and friends. The charity gig featuring Daft Folk will be taking place during the evening of the 31st October (yep, that's Halloween!) where there will be free entry with donations welcome.

Yarn bombing postcard project with Take Art

Well, we did it! The yarn bombing project is now complete! A small group of staff and customers woke up VERY early on the Saturday morning to make a start on some yarn bombing in Burnham-On-Sea. This took place at a sheltered area on the seafront where we covered a large area in lots of knitting, crochet and handmade goodies. We were all very pleased with the end result and we cannot wait to get the final postcard ready which will be sold all over Burnham. This postcard project will be in memory of Charley Marks where we will put all the money raised towards a new charity in aid of mental health. 

We hope you can all go and have a look at the final yarn bombing and let us know what you think! We will keep everyone posted when the postcards will be on sale so please stay tuned. Autumn at the Crafty Teacup

Here at the Crafty Teacup, we are starting to add a hint of Autumn in the cafe. We have lovely little decorations with owls, hedgehogs, kites and squirrels hiding in little nooks and crannies that we are sure you are going to love! Also, why not try our gingerbread latte perfect to warm you up from head to toe whilst enjoying our beautiful surroundings. See you soon!

Autumn & Harvest themed crafts

This Saturday at the crafty kids club, we will be making pictures with an Autumn/Harvest theme. They are very simple to make and all you need is your creative imagination, that's it! We supply all the materials you need so you can craft until your heart is content.

Sammy made these three pictures using leaves and Autumn colours, can you guess what they are?

Crafty kids club 13/09/14

Yesterday at the crafty kids club we made dreamcatchers which all the children very much enjoyed! I made two mock up designs - one as a paper plate and one using a hoop. The paper plate design was much easier which is what the children started off doing. They made some fabulous designs and we really liked all the different colours! Great job!

Crafty hens!

We had another lovely crafty hen party yesterday where everyone made squares to make into a cushion. There was 20 ladies altogether so we had a very fun packed cafe. Everyone started off with a cream tea and then got cracking making their squares, they were all absolutely great and fingers crossed we can see a photo of the final product!

Crafty Teacup Christmas

Guess what? We have designed the Christmas header for our website, blog and Facebook! This also includes what we will be hosting workshop/activities wise at the Crafty Teacup Cafe. Dreamcatchers

This Saturday we are making dreamcatchers at the crafty kids club which we are very excited about! Sammy made a mock up version today to see how they are made and she made this super girly one for the weekend!

DusiCake/crafty hen party

We had a great time at the hen party yesterday hosted at the Crafty Teacup Cafe! In the morning/early afternoon, the ladies made rose cupcakes with Dusica and in the afternoon they got a bit crafty and made sashes with Sammy. Check out some photos below of what everyone got up to...

Crafty hen parties

We have been busy bee's at the Crafty Teacup making a mock up sash for a crafty hen party this Saturday. The sashes are decorated with beautiful floral decorations that include material, beads, hearts and much more!

Card and paper crafting

Vintage seaside cupcake workshop

This Sunday we are having a cupcake decorating workshop with Dusica! The theme will be vintage seaside where we will be having two workshops - one in the morning from 10.30am-noon for the children and another from 1pm-5pm for adults. 

The children will be decorating 4 cupcakes which will cost £15 per child and include all materials and refreshments. The adult workshops will be decorating 6 cupcakes which will cost £40 per person and include all materials and refreshments.

Crafty kids club - 30/08/14

I hope you all had a great weekend :) We had a busy Saturday for Folkfest where we had lots of live musicians and yummy antipasti. It was a great atmosphere and we even managed to squeeze in the crafty kids club!

This week we made beach hut and seagull hangings that the kids decorated with lots of our Crafty Teacup materials. Take a look at what everyone made below...

We loved the very girly beach huts with lots of glittery and sequins! And this very soft looking seagull decorated with lots of cotton wool. Great idea for creating a feathery look :)
